Dial Vault Watches ("we", "us") is a pre-owned and new luxury watch business run by a sole trader based in Lancashire, UK. What we collect
When you buy from us: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order details. Payments are handled by our payment provider, so we never see or store your full card details.
When you sell or consign a watch to us: your name, email address, the watch's brand, model, condition and photos, and your asking price. If we go ahead, we may also ask for photo ID and proof of ownership (to prevent fraud and the sale of stolen goods) and your bank details so we can pay you.
When you contact us: by email, Instagram, WhatsApp or the forms on this website, we keep your messages and any details you share.
When you visit this website: our website platform, Wix, collects technical information such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you view, using cookies.
Why we use it
To process and deliver your order, provide our 12-month warranty (on full-price purchases) and handle returns (to fulfil our contract with you).
To value, buy or consign your watch and pay you (to fulfil our contract with you).
To keep business and tax records (to meet our legal obligations).
To prevent fraud, check that watches are not stolen, and run and improve our website (our legitimate interests).
To send you news and offers, only if you have agreed to this. You can opt out at any time (your consent).
Who we share it with
We only share your information where needed: with Wix (our website, forms and shop provider), our payment provider, delivery companies, our accountant, and HMRC or the police where the law requires it. We never sell your data.
Data stored outside the UK
Some of our service providers, including Wix, may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legally approved safeguards to protect it.
How long we keep it
Sales and purchase records: for as long as UK tax law requires (normally around 6 years).
Valuation requests that do not go ahead: up to 12 months.
Marketing details: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy to move elsewhere, and withdraw your consent at any time.
